Portrait of deadmau5 composed of type.

Done for my Illustration class (Adobe Illustrator, not drawing). The assignment was to create a recognizable portrait of a well-known person using letter forms and/or lines of text. The picture had to be black and white with one accent color and was to include a quote and the person’s name. None of the text could be warped.

It’s easier to see in full-view, but the mau5 head lists remixes Joel has done, his shirt lists his own tracks, and the shading on his arms say “not even funny”. The font used is Arial (since that’s the font his logo is in) in Regular, Italic, and Black.
